I was watching a show on television a few minutes ago while wrapping some Christmas gifts. The couple had just received some very saddening news and trying to cheer his wife up the husband said, "Just remember it's all going to be alright in the end and if it isn't, well, then it isn't the end."
I love this thought! You can take it a couple of ways. First, literally, if it isn't alright then you haven't reached the end of your journey, which is quite profound. But then I caught a glimpse of another way you could look at it which is, if life isn't they way you'd like it to be, it isn't the end, as in end of the world. Things could be worse. We can't forget to keep everything in perspective. We must focus on the things in life that REALLY matter. To me that is family, family, family, and family! The relationships we are strengthening. The principles we are teaching. The examples we are setting and the memories we are making.
Remember, it is all going to be alright in the end because the end is only the beginning of eternal life and everything is perfect there!
